Support us

Your support can make all the difference.

There are a number of ways that you can support the UK office to help ensure that the work of the Winant Clayton Volunteers can continue.

Cash donations

Raising significant funds from single donors such as Trusts and Grant-making bodies is becoming increasingly challenging, and so every donation from individuals is really important.

You could give a one-off donation, or sign up to be a regular giver, via direct debit. Even if you can only give a few pounds each month, having regular amounts of income can be invaluable for planning ahead. If you Gift Aid any donation, this means your support will go even further.

To make a donation and to find out how your donation will help us, contact us.

Value in kind

You can donate useful items such as prizes for fundraisers and IT equipment, even consultancy services or access to members of your network who might be able to support us in some way. This kind of donation helps us to develop our practice, keep up with the pace of change in an evolving sector and increase our capacity to raise the funds we need to keep running.

To discuss your in-kind donation with a member of the team, contact us.

Donating your time

This is a form of support we cannot put a price on! Helping others by giving time, energy and passion is at the heart of the Winant Clayton ethos, and volunteering in New York is not the only way in which you can become involved with the work of Winant Clayton Volunteers!

Our London team is made up one member of staff and several volunteers who juggle the demands of running our charity with full-time jobs. We are a dedicated family of people who have been inspired by the story of the Winant Clayton Volunteers and work hard to keep the programme going.

We are always on the look out for more volunteers. Here are some of the roles that are available:

Office Admin Volunteer

Our office is busy and there’s always plenty to do. We require help with general admin tasks such as writing letters, answering the phone, contacting past volunteers, designing and producing marketing materials and supporting our ongoing fundraising efforts. Hours are flexible, but ideally, volunteers would commit to a few hours each week for at least 3 months.

February to June are our busiest months and so we are particularly keen to find volunteers to help us during this time.

If you are keen to gain some office experience and to join our friendly team as a volunteer, contact us.

Volunteer Programme Committee

Been to New York on our volunteer exchange programme and want to stay involved?

Winant Clayton Volunteers could not run without the passion and dedication of our returning volunteers. Regardless of where you are based in the UK or the year in which you travelled to New York, you can still help us to provide future volunteers from both sides of the Atlantic with the summer of a lifetime.

By becoming part of our Volunteer Programme Committee you can help with the recruitment and selection of British volunteers, as well as helping out with the programme during the summer when our American volunteers are here in London. We are always looking to past volunteers to organise social and cultural events, arrange volunteer supervision sessions, visit placements and help with fundraising. Not only is being part of the committee a lot of fun, it looks great on your CV too.

If you’re interested and want to find out more, contact us.

Board of Trustees

Our Board is made up of alumni and professionals who haven’t been on the programme. Together, the Trustees are responsible for setting the strategic direction of the charity, financial management and fundraising to ensure that Winant Clayton Volunteers can continue for many more years to come.

If you think you have the skills, experience and energy to make a contribution to the work of the Board, contact us.
